HSE Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Specialist to oversee and enhance health, safety, and environmental standards within our factory operations. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with legal regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing environmental impact.

Country OHS Manager/Factory Manager

Working mode:

Stationary in ABB Sp. z o.o. Branch in Przasnysz with travel approx. 10% of time.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Implement health and safety policies and standards in line with legal requirements and ABB regulations.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report OHS data, present findings in local and global reviews.
  • Collaborate within the Global Division HSE community and with the sister factory in Skien, Norway.
  • Supervise workplace safety conditions and conduct regular inspections in Przasnysz operations.
  • Develop and implement safety projects, risk assessments, procedures, and compliance documentation.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Identify training needs and ensure delivery of health and safety programs.
  • Support client audits and ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Qualifications for this Position:

  • Fluent Polish language for efficient communication on site and English at a communicative level
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the health and safety department (preferably in a production environment).
  • Education in health and safety as required by Polish law and knowledge of HSE regulations (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Ability to work in a team and with individuals at various levels within the matrix organization.
  • Independence in initiating actions, making decisions, and overcoming problems.
  • Willingness to travel for business (approximately 15% annually).
  • Experience with electrical safety and/or machine safety nice to have.
