This Position reports to:

IS Service Owner - ServIS

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to bridge the gap between the technical environment and the business. Each day, you will use data analytics to assess processes and outline problems, opportunities, and solutions, to support decisions for new or changed Information Systems (IS) solutions or services. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting constantly in the continual service improvement process.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation. Main stakeholders are Process Automation, Electrification, Motion and Robotics.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Gather and analyze business needs from stakeholders across ABB's business units and translate them into clear technical specifications for development teams

  • Design solutions and present them to stakeholders, while establishing testable acceptance criteria to ensure quality assurance throughout delivery

  • Manage demands from concept through implementation, including effort estimation, progress monitoring, and conducting cost-benefit analyses to inform prioritization decisions

  • Act as the subject matter expert for your designated domain, troubleshooting incidents and resolving complex system issues

  • Navigate ABB's application landscape to identify integration opportunities and maintain expertise in software development best practices and emerging technologies

  • Work in an Agile cross-functional team environment, contributing actively to sprint planning, solution reviews, and retrospective sessions

  • Champion the application as an advocate to current and prospective user communities throughout the organization

  • Drive innovation by identifying and proposing new functionality that delivers measurable business value and supports continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications for the role

Essential:

  • 5+ years as a Business/Functional Analyst or Product/Project Manager

  • Excellent communication skills - you'll bridge senior business stakeholders and technical developers, explaining complex concepts clearly

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • IT background through education or hands-on experience

  • Understanding of how IT systems integrate and interact

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

Preferred:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

  • Familiarity with BPMN or UML process modeling

  • Exposure to APIs, JSON, XML, or SQL databases

  • ITIL 4 certification
