Leads, formulates, and directs initiatives intended to increase the efficiency, predictability, and consistent delivery of services related to records and information management. Owner and administrator for lifecycle of records management-related projects. Oversees the overall management of FedEx records and information from creation to preservation and disposal.

Essential Functions

  • Develops, implements, and oversees records management processes to ensure compliance with all business, financial, legal, and administrative requirements and regulations.
  • Develops, formulates, and oversees training to employees responsible for maintaining records and information to ensure compliance to all applicable policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and modifies (as appropriate) FedEx Records Management and Retention Schedule and all related policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all business, financial, legal, and administrative requirements, and regulations.
  • Develops, implements, and leverages existing information systems in collaboration with information technology stakeholders in furtherance of records and information management initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree required.

Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.

Minimum Experience

Two (2) years of experience working in records and information management or a related field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of employees.

Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations regarding records and information management based on best practices, business needs, and/or legal and regulatory requirements.

Basic understanding of information security.

Organizational and prioritization skills.

Ability to multi-task and easily move between topics or projects.

Experience overseeing projects.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a large organization in Information Governance and Records Management, retention and disposition of records, electronic records management, Information Governance reference models, and project management. ICRM certified or ARMA member. Skilled in the use of and management of data stored in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, content management systems, and Information electronic systems. Ability to analyze/organize data. Skilled in writing and formatting reports and drafting policies.
