What You'll Do:

  • Carry out armed patrols throughout the assigned government location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by interacting with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor access points and assist with maintaining the integrity of restricted or controlled areas as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, including coordinating with public emergency personnel as directed by site protocols.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings during patrols, identifying and addressing security-related risks or hazards as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Must have a college degree.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
  • Must have a Corrections Officer License.
  • Must possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate's Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Must have a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
