The University of Virginia's Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) seeks a detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative Regulatory Business Analyst to help ensure compliance with institutional policies, sponsor requirements, and state and federal regulations. This position plays a critical role in supporting research integrity and security, specifically related to research conflicts of interest (COI) and conflicts of commitment (COC), while driving process improvements across the University's research enterprise. The initial appointment will be for a two-yearterm but will be renewable based on business needs, satisfactory performance and ongoing availability of funds. This position may be filled at the Compliance Professional 1 or Compliance Professional 2 level depending on the successful candidate's qualifications. About the Role: This position supports the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) by managing disclosure, review, and oversight of external interests that may create a COI or COC in research. The role is ideal for individuals passionate about research ethics, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence in a dynamic academic and medical research environment. This is a full-time, exempt-level position with UVA benefits. Selected candidates will be required to complete all required background checks prior to the first day of employment. Physical Demands:This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. Position Location: The position is based in Charlottesville, VA. The position is hybrid eligible. While not preferred, fully remote work may be considered for a highly qualified candidate.
