Sayres, a prominent leader in defense support services to the DOD in the shipbuilding industry, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Lifecycle Management Analyst with Secret Clearance in Washington, DC. This position is hybrid/remote with 2-3 days onsite. Program Logistics & Lifecycle Sustainment
- Support program logistics planning and total lifecycle sustainment activities across product lines, ensuring continuity from development through deployment, sustainment, and end-of-life.
- Coordinate sustainment inputs including maintenance concepts, spares planning, supportability analysis, training considerations, technical data, and configuration management.
- Assist with tracking readiness drivers, obsolescence risks, and sustainment KPIs across the product lifecycle in alignment with NAVSEA lifecycle management practices.
POM Cycle & Strategic Planning Support
- Support Program Objective Memorandum (POM) cycle preparations, including data calls, requirements justification, performance inputs, funding alignment, and capability trade analyses.
- Assist in developing briefing materials and decision support documentation for senior leadership reviews, budget reviews, and capability planning forums.
- Track requirements, funding profiles, and lifecycle priorities across fiscal years to ensure product alignment with long-range strategic objectives.
Multi-Enterprise & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate across multiple enterprises, warfare centers, vendors, primes, and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment on requirements, schedules, risks, and deliverables.
- Serve as a liaison between engineering, logistics, program management, contracting, finance, and operational stakeholders, ensuring enterprise-wide visibility and execution consistency.
- Support integrated product team (IPT) activities and cross-organizational working groups.
Briefings, Executive Reporting & Decision Support
- Prepare and coordinate integrated program and product briefs for leadership, customers, and external stakeholders.
- Translate technical and performance data into clear, actionable executive-level briefings to support decision-making.
- Track action items, risks, and follow-ups resulting from stakeholder reviews and governance boards.
Small Boat / Maritime Systems Experience (Preferred Domain Alignment)
- Apply working knowledge of small boat, combatant craft, or maritime platform systems to product planning, sustainment execution, and capability development.
- Support lifecycle planning efforts consistent with portfolio management, surface craft sustainment, modernization, and readiness alignment.
- Assist in coordinating modernization, sustainment, and integration efforts across platform, mission systems, and support elements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Systems Engineering, Business, Public Policy, or a related technical or management field.
- 15 years of experience supporting DoD or Navy lifecycle management, sustainment, logistics, or program management efforts.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing Lifecycle Management Plans (LCMPs) and supporting POM/budget submissions.
- Strong background in fleet readiness analysis, sustainment cost analysis, and total ownership cost evaluation.
- Experience working directly with NAVSEA, or equivalent DoD acquisition and sustainment commands.
- Exceptional ability to develop and present executive-level briefings and technical decision-support materials.
- Strong proficiency with data analysis, reporting tools, and performance metrics to support lifecycle decision-making.
- Strong understanding of DoD acquisition lifecycle, sustainment policy, and budget processes.
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting small boat, combatant craft, or maritime platform programs.
- Experience supporting multi-enterprise programs spanning multiple commands and stakeholders.
- Active DoD Security Clearance.
