We are seeking an experienced and client-focusedData Scientistto supportThe One Program Integrity (One PI)program which is an advanced analytics system hosted byCMSto detect fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid programs.

This role requires strong programming and communication skills, with expertise in healthcare data analysis, particularly Medicare and Medicaid. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing reports, dashboards, and map visualizations usingPython and SQL in Snowflake, andDatabricks.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a customer-facing data coach for other programmers and data scientists who are working with OnePI hosted applications and data
  • Support reports developed in SAS Enterprise Guide, Snowsight and Databricks
  • Build interactive reports, dashboards, and map visualizations in Databricks and Snowsight notebooks
  • Analyze and interpret Medicare and Medicaid datasets to support healthcare reporting, compliance, and client deliverables
  • Analyze and interpret complex digital data, such as the usage statistics of a website, especially in order to provide guidance for a business in its decision-making
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and agile development processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 8+ years work experience in Information technology
  • Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Studio
  • Hands-on experience with Medicare and Medicaid data analysis and healthcare reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid proficiency in Snowflake and Databricks software
  • Proven advanced programming skills in Python include visualizations and predictive modeling
  • Proven solid command of SQL for data querying, transformation, and optimization
  • Proven solid problem-solving, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
