PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $78,200.00-$95,400.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $60,800.00 - $112,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:

As a Quality Analyst, you'll be the final checkpoint before closing-ensuring every loan meets compliance and quality standards. Your audits will safeguard the integrity of underwriting decisions and help prevent costly errors, directly impacting member trust and organizational success. You'll apply your mortgage knowledge and analytical skills to identify issues, collaborate on solutions, and keep the closing process smooth and accurate. This role is designed for someone detail-oriented ready to make a lasting impact on both quality and member experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Perform Pre-Close Audits: Review a sample of loans before closing documents are drawn, ensuring all required documentation and underwriting decisions are accurate and supported.
  • Apply Mortgage Expertise: Use your understanding of mortgage guidelines, qualifications, and processes to validate loan decisions and identify discrepancies.
  • Collaborate for Solutions: Work closely with underwriting, processing and closing teams to resolve issues quickly and keep loans on track for closing.
  • Monitor Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards throughout the audit process.
  • Report Findings: Create clear, actionable reports on audit results and quality metrics to guide improvements.
  • Support Continuous Improvement: Contribute to training and documentation that strengthen quality initiatives and team knowledge.
  • Adapt and Learn: Prepare to transition to a new LOS and continuously build your expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work/educational experience.
  • Typically requires 3 years of functional experience in quality, compliance, or data analysis roles.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Mortgage experience with a solid understanding of loan qualifications, guidelines, and end-to-end process.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience auditing underwriting decisions and disclosures.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and quality methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with data management tools (Excel, SQL), quality systems, or loan origination systems like Encompass or similar.
  • Written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations.
