As a Project Controls Manager in the dynamic oil and gas industry, your primary focus will be on delivering consistent, sustainable, and effective project controls encompassing cost, progress, and schedule management. Moreover, you will be instrumental in driving career progression and fostering a culture of learning and development within the Project Controls discipline.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with the Project Controls team to ensure that all projects are accurately set up and executed in strict adherence to Worley Project Controls Procedures and guidelines.

  • Actively contribute to the formulation of proactive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives and programs.
  • Develop and maintain overhead budgets.
  • Actively engage in the bid and proposal process, collaborate across functions to ensure timely completion.
  • Serve as a local champion for Worley Project Controls Processes, driving adherence and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Lead implementation of project controls systems and spearhead capability enhancements across projects.
  • Identify areas for potential improvement and lead the implementation of change initiatives to address these areas, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Effectively manage client requirements and stakeholder needs with respect to project controls, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
  • Provide supervision, support, and coaching to Project Controls team within your area of responsibility, ensuring high performance across key project metrics including HSE, Commercial, Schedule, Customer Satisfaction, and Risk Management.
  • Manage development of procedures for various project control activities including control budget preparation, cashflow, forecasts, progress tracking, change management, Contingency management and planning/scheduling functions;
  • Ensure proactive monitoring of project trends and challenges, facilitating early intervention and resolution.
  • Lead implementation of dashboard tools using Power BI / Power Apps to report progress, cost and schedule.
  • Collaborate with project managers/engineers and project controls personnel to ensure regular, accurate, and standardized reporting for all projects, promoting transparency and accountability.
  • Facilitate the generation of comprehensive reports on overall Project Delivery performance, consolidating data from key component projects on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure full integration between the estimating, cost control, planning/scheduling, and risk management functions within projects;
  • Work closely with Project Controls team to define clear goals and expectations for all project team members, promoting alignment and clarity.
  • Oversee internal monthly reviews of project status and health, ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards.
  • Ensure best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, andknowledge sharing are common communications within the team.
  • Accountable for the selection, hiring, training, and development of the ProjectControls teamtoensure each project is optimally resourced with sufficient andcapability alignment for project success.
  • Chair periodic communication and coordination forums for project controls managers/leads, promoting cross-functional collaboration and alignment.
  • Support the overall management of training plans and career development initiatives for project controls team, fostering a culture of growth and advancement.
  • Participate in the annual performance review of Project Controls team and ensure they participate in the Performance Appraisal program.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Fifteen (15) years relevant experience including supervisory, project management, and or technical experience. Field project controls experience with general contracting company preferred.
  • Experience in leading / managing project controls teams
  • Experience in Oil/Gas, Construction, Fabrication, Mining experience.
  • Experience in the full lifecycle of project.
  • Working knowledge and skills in the use of software such as Primavera, Power BI, Ecosys and cost control systems
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English is required.
  • Live within daily commute distance to Anchorage, Alaska or able to relocate. No relocation / stipend services provided.
