Job Summary
The ServiceNow Application Developer is a staff position, working under the direction of the ServiceNow Platform Manager. The individual will work closely with business analyst, business stakeholders, IT partners, and project members to understand requirements and deliver solutions that streamline processes, enhance productivity, and support major product lines such as, but not limited to, IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations management (ITOM), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), and other ServiceNow product lines. The incumbent will be responsible for configuring ServiceNow applications, developing workflows, and scripting automation where necessary. The ideal candidate has strong experience in ServiceNow development, including scripting, scoped app development, and integrations with other enterprise systems. - Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- 10+ years working in the IT Industry
- 5+ years working as a ServiceNow developer
- Experience working in an IT healthcare environment
- Experience as a developer implementing a ServiceNow product such as ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HCLS, etc.
- Experience working in a project using waterfall and/or the agile methodology
- 5+ years of experience on the ServiceNow platform and the use of tables, forms, lists, and related structures.
- 5 + years of experience as a system administrator on the ServiceNow platform supporting day to day maintenance and yearly upgrades
- Experience in creating custom/scoped apps on the ServiceNow Platform
- Experience with HTML, CSS, XML, JAVASCRIPT
- Experience with C#, JSON, REST API
- Familiar with the technical aspects of the ServiceNow platform, including tables, forms, lists, and related structures.
- Superb technical skills with installation, configuring, and management of the ServiceNow platform and applications.
- JavaScript programming experience. Experience performing analysis and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Infrastructure and Application development experience, baseline support experience, demonstrated customer communication skills, and excellent interpersonal communications.
- Working knowledge of system technologies, such as WMI, SNMP, TCPIP, and Shell, for setting up device discovery for the ServiceNow CMDB.

- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified ITSM Implementation Specialist
- ITIL Foundation certified or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Project Lifecycle Methodology's.
- Experience developing and supporting tools and/or applications.
- Experience working with RBDMS and creating advanced SQL.
- Excellent knowledge of database concepts.
- Excellent debugging, problem solving and testing skills are imperative, and the incumbent must be a good team player and able to work with little direction, provide work estimates and deliver challenging, complex, stable, and maintainable projects on schedule.
- Experienced in working in a collaborative environment; and experienced with team leadership/direction.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently utilizing organizational skills necessary to set and meet deadlines.
- Experience performing statistical analyses and present data in clear and concise report format.
- Experience using logic and flow diagrams to describe the functional processes of a system that both end users, as well as programmers can understand.
- Analytical skills required to effectively understand complex networks; to manage administrative and fiscal information; and to comprehend such information to make timely and sound decisions.
- Planning skills to analyze goals and objectives based on current and potential developmental projects; to make accurate short-and long-term projections; to establish resource requirements; and to secure potential funding to meet requirements.
- Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with others to secure necessary information and cooperation from an audience of diverse background.
- Experience dealing with highly confidential, secured, and financial matters. Experience developing meeting agendas and facilitate meetings.
- Ability to manage medium to large complex projects from inception to completion.
- Understanding of various software tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
