Velosity Forest Lake is searching for am IT Manager to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing Velosity's IT infrastructure and operations to ensure the efficient and secure functioning of all technology systems.

This is an on-site position.

The typical pay range for this role: $140,000 - $165,000.

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies that align with organizational goals and Identify technology needs and create a technology roadmap.
  • Supervise and manage the IT team, assigning tasks and setting priorities and Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Oversee IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget while coordinating resources and manage project teams
  • Manage the IT department budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and monitor expenditures and optimize spending.
  • Evaluate and select vendors, hardware, and software options and manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure the reliability and security of IT systems and networks while developing strategies for network troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect IT infrastructure and data while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed and conduct regular audits and assessments.
  • Work closely with other department managers to assess technology needs and support business objectives while facilitating communication between upper management and IT staff.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and organizational goals.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with IT standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that all IT systems and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as CMMC 2.0, ITAR, ISO 27001, NIST, Department of Defense, etc.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPls) that align with organizational goals and IT objectives and continuously monitor and track KPls to assess the performance of IT systems and processes. Analyze KPI data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential issues and generate regular reports on KPI performance for senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in IT management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing IT projects from initiation to completion.
  • Experience leading and mentoring IT teams.
  • Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity practices and tools.
  • Ability to develop and implement IT strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Expertise in long-term planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Excellent leadership skills to motivate and guide IT teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to create clear and concise project documentation and reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address IT challenges and make informed decisions.
  • Experience managing IT budgets and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in IT management.
  • Knowledge of IT service management best practices, such as ITIL.
  • Experience managing IT projects from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Experience with cloud services, data management, and emerging technologies.

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Walking is required within the facility. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception. Must be able to walk and sit.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them in a timely manner; ability to make decisions with limited information, ability to lead, implement, and sustain change.
  • Must be able to travel to the different Velosity locations when needed.

Work Environment:

This is a non-smoking, professional manufacturing shop with normal lighting and climate control. This position may require one to move throughout the shop and office and may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding/ Precision Machining shop.

Protective Clothing Required:

When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations.
