Description

Dartmouth College invites applications for two fellows for the Guarini Dean's Postdoctoral Fellowship in The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice at the Geisel School of Medicine. This fellowship will support scholars whose research addresses improving the quality, accessibility, and cost of health care. Fellows can work directly with the Health Economics Lab and Drs. Carrie Colla, Emma Dean, and Johnny Huynh on research. Specific areas of interest include evaluating the effectiveness of payment and delivery systems, the pharmaceutical industry, and addressing health care disparities.

This fellowship is designed to promote student and faculty diversity at Dartmouth and across higher education by supporting scholars who have demonstrated a commitment to and ability to advance educational diversity and inclusion. Applicants will be selected based on their academic achievement, promise in research and teaching, and potential to advance diversity and inclusion in higher education.

This is a two-year residential fellowship, including one course taught in the second year with the fellow serving as the instructor of record. Fellows are expected to pursue research and collaborate on grant writing while fully participating in the department's and the college's intellectual life. Fellows receive an annual stipend, plus benefits and a research expense allocation (exact funding levels will be set at the time of offer).

Guarini Dean's Postdoctoral Fellows are part of the Provost's Fellowship Program, a multidisciplinary cohort of approximately 10 predoctoral and postdoctoral scholars committed to increasing diversity and inclusivity in their disciplines. Fellows participate together in mentoring and professional development programming, including guidance in preparing for faculty careers.

Dartmouth is committed to academic excellence and encourages the open exchange of ideas within a culture of mutual respect. People with different backgrounds, life experiences, and perspectives make the Dartmouth community diverse, which enhances academic excellence.

Applications will be reviewed beginning April 6, 2026, and continuing until the position is filled.
