About the Opportunity:

The Aerospace Maintenance Parts & Crib Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining control of Maintenance parts, tooling, and consumable supplies used in the Preventive and Corrective work performed by the Maintenance Technicians. This role ensures that all critical spare parts are identified and are readily available and in stock and the technicians receive the correct parts and tools on time, that inventory levels are accurate, and that all materials meet quality and traceability requirements typical of aerospace standards.

Responsibilities:

Material & Tool Control

  • Issue and receive parts, hardware, tools, and consumables for the personnel in accordance with par levels to perform. On Demaind and Preventive Maintenance, tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of all material and tool transactions in the inventory management system.
  • Ensure proper labeling, identification, and segregation of parts by job, machine, revision, and status.

Inventory Management

  • Perform daily cycle counts and periodic physical inventories; reconcile discrepancies and report variances.
  • Monitor stock levels for critical and high-use items; initiate replenishment requests and assist purchasing with reorder recommendations.
  • Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient crib layout to support quick retrieval of parts and tools.

Receiving & Inspection Support

  • Receive incoming parts, hardware, tooling, and consumables; verify quantities, part numbers, and documentation (packing slips, certificates of conformity, material certs).
  • Assist in verifying shelf life, expiration dates, and storage conditions for age-sensitive or special-handling materials (e.g., adhesives, sealants, chemicals).

Documentation & Traceability

  • Ensure full traceability of aerospace parts, including lot/batch numbers, heat numbers, serial numbers, and certifications.
  • Maintain accurate paper electronic records to support customer, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Support preparation of kits for preventive and Corrective work, ensuring all required components and documentation are included.

Tooling & Equipment Support

  • Manage issuing, tracking, and return of company tools, gauges, and fixtures; maintain tool crib logs or electronic tracking.
  • Monitor tool condition and calibration status; segregate and label out-of-calibration or damaged tools and notify Management.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Technicians and Supervisors to ensure availability of required tools and equipment.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe material-handling practices.
  • Store chemicals, flammables, and hazardous materials in compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Support and participate in 5S, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or tool crib environment preferred; aerospace industry experience strongly preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
