Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Health System Senior Director of Logistics, Supply Chain.

In this role, the successful candidate as the Senior Director of Logistics will provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of supply chain and logistics operations across the health system, covering inpatient, outpatient, and surgical activities. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure streamlined, reliable, and cost-effective material flows that support high-quality patient care. The Senior Director will optimize inventory management, distribution, and logistics processes while championing systemwide standardization and innovative solutions. The role requires strong collaboration with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership and mentorship to a diverse logistics team across multiple sites, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, accountability, and reliability.
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve the end-to-end flow of materials supporting inpatient units, outpatient clinics, surgical services, and procedural areas.
  • Drive systemwide standardization of supply utilization, formulary management, and logistics workflows.
  • Champion initiatives aimed at identifying inefficiencies and implementing advanced strategies to enhance process reliability, user experience, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with senior clinical and operational leaders to align logistics operations with patient care needs, surgical case planning, and organizational priorities.
  • Oversee onboarding and logistical integration of new facilities, expansions, and acquisitions across the health system.
  • Establish, measure, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service levels, inventory accuracy, fulfillment precision, and operational costs.
  • Ensure that all logistics functions comply with regulatory, accreditation, and internal standards.
  • Facilitate the adoption of technologies that streamline workflows, enhance visibility, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on lifecycle management strategies and systemwide resource allocation to support long-term improvements.
  • Management of department budget, actual expenses and addressing variances
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a comprehensive understanding of the spectrum of Receiving, Logistics, and Printing Services and how they interrelate to procurement activities. Experience in Supply Chain Management in various capacities including, support systems, receiving and distribution, and information systems and significant work experience in the printing industry. Other assets include experience in procurement, information technology, finance and accounting, change management, distribution, and logistics. Ability to convey technical information to a nontechnical audience. Good selling and buying skills; thinking not bounded by the past, or by apparent constraints. Record for implementing process efficiencies and operating a highly customer-focused group. Experience in purchasing, works with other areas of Supply Chain Management especially with Strategic Sourcing to optimize departmental activities.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $213,477.56 - $314,879.97 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
