POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director - Tax will be responsible for the Company's worldwide income tax provision, U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, income tax audit activities, and determining the financial statement tax consequences of various alternative plans or actions taken and recommending strategies and policies to minimize the tax burden.

This role is hybrid in Pittsburgh PA

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provides tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of internal clients.
  • Responsible for overseeing the ASC 740 reporting for the Company including preparation of the tax footnote
  • Develops and delivers innovative financial planning ideas that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Oversees complex tax research projects for a variety of diverse industries.
  • Works with to minimize the federal, state, and local tax liability of the Company.
  • Supervises tax staffs' assignments and managing the day-to-day delivery of tax consulting services to the Company.
  • Develops and motivates tax staff by reviewing their work and providing them with counseling, leadership and guidance.
  • Manages U.S. federal and state income tax audits.
  • Coordinates with all international entities for local tax compliance, statutory filings and other tax related matters.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with operational and finance counterparts in each business segment.
  • Reviews/prepares/coordinates preparation of other tax returns and filings including: Sales and Use tax; Personal property tax; Business License and Permits and various other informational reports fillings.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
  • Additional duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred
  • 10+ years progressive tax experience with a major CPA firm and/or multinational corporation; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years in a leadership role
  • Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $140,000 USD - $150,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
