Here's what you'd do:

  • The Control System Certification Engineer is part of the Software Systems Capability function.
  • The Control System Certification Engineer shall liaise with control system development engineers and airworthiness authorities to create certification work products that satisfy the certification basis of the program.
  • This will include the creation of requirements, design, verification, and traceability evidence for lifecycle data created during the development of the control and monitoring system.
  • Capture evidence of requirement validation, use cases, design constraints, quality, safety, and security attributes, in certification work products.
  • Collaborate with development teams to establish an understanding of certification plans, work product standards, and configuration management.
  • Establish report generation methods to collect life-cycle data and publish for delivery to airworthiness authorities.
  • Implement improvements to certification work products with feedback from program and airworthiness stakeholders.
  • Liaises with other disciplines to understand the relationships between the many types of life-cycle data.
  • System requirement development for Electronic Engine control systems transfers well into Cameo.
  • Configuration Management - rigorous tracking of the system.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $59.00 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Contract (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in airborne system development.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sharing certification data with airworthiness authorities.
  • Minimum 2 years of Controls Systems Experience, including software-centric - HVAC/Engine/Brake Systems/ Gas Turbine.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of associated engineering disciplines.
  • Proficient in requirements management, design, and analysis tools.
  • Professional courage to highlight areas of concern and risk about the suitability of a product to meet its requirements in a safe and functionally appropriate way.
  • Ability to interpret certification evidence and provide an opinion or conclusion as to correctness and completeness.
  • Ability to manage tasks to completion, ensuring that the relevant areas of the business are appropriately informed.
  • Ability to evaluate certification evidence for coverage of objectives.
  • Able to seek solutions/information from outside of the immediate area, including suppliers, customers, and certification guidance.
  • Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
