Job Description




As a Security Officer - Factory Site Patrol Driver in Topton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support access control and visitor interactions with a customer service mindset. You will document security-related activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to concerns as they arise. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns per site instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor instructions, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
  • Perform routine rounds to check doors, gates, and other access points for irregularities and report findings per post orders.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems when assigned, and coordinate response actions according to site procedures.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding operational concerns, maintenance issues, and security-related observations.
  • Support emergency and non-emergency events such as fire alarms, medical incidents, weather alerts, and/or evacuations by following established response plans.
  • Maintain a professional presence, provide directions and assistance to employees and visitors, and follow all site rules and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
