What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for an industrial facility dispatch post.
  • Operate the dispatch center by monitoring radio traffic, telephones, alarms, and/or other communication systems and routing calls for service to on-site personnel.
  • Monitor CCTV, access control, and other security-related systems; identify irregular activity and escalate per post orders.
  • Dispatch officers to incidents, medical calls, alarms, maintenance-related notifications, and/or other priority events; maintain awareness of unit status and locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation and clear communication when needed.
  • Document dispatch activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs with accurate times and actions taken.
  • Support facility access procedures by verifying authorization, coordinating visitor and contractor processing, and directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic as assigned.
  • Coordinate response to fire and life system notifications, weather alerts, and/or emergency announcements by following site procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to employees, contractors, and visitors while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, production areas, and perimeter as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Assist with key control, badge control, and/or other site-issued property tracking per post orders to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Communicate with client representatives, Allied Universal leadership, and external responders as needed to relay accurate information and support timely response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
