As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol key areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow, communicate clearly with site contacts and team members, and deliver strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, supporting de-escalation, and notifying Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, trailer and yard areas, loading dock zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards such as unsecured doors, broken fencing, and unusual conditions.
  • Control access at assigned points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor check-in and check-out, and directing drivers and guests to appropriate locations.
  • Monitor fixed posts and security-related equipment as assigned, including cameras, alarm panels, and radios, and escalate issues according to site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs with clear, timely, and accurate details.
  • Assist with traffic control and vehicle flow during peak shipping and receiving times, including supporting truck staging and maintaining clear emergency lanes as directed by site procedures.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by observing for suspicious behavior, following established search and inspection procedures when authorized, and reporting potential policy violations.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations, securing impacted areas, and coordinating with responding public services per post orders.
  • Maintain a professional presence and communication style, providing directions and answering questions while reinforcing location rules and expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
