As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, document observations, and respond to situations with calm professionalism and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and escalate concerns through the chain of command as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by location and shift.
  • Help to monitor access points and vehicle flow, verifying credentials and/or authorization for entry, deliveries and departures in accordance with site procedures.
  • Perform rounds to help identify unsecured doors, broken lights, unusual conditions, package or freight irregularities and/or suspicious activity, and report findings per post orders.
  • Help to monitor and operate security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, alarms and/or radio communications, and document system alerts and observations.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports and other required documentation with accurate details, including times, locations, persons involved and actions taken.
  • Assist with traffic direction and staging during peak inbound and outbound periods, special events and/or emergency conditions as directed by site leadership.
  • Support emergency and business continuity procedures such as evacuation, severe weather response and/or medical response by providing direction, notifications and scene control within assigned authority.
  • Maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with site personnel and management, and coordinate with responding public resources when requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
