As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover PT in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a food and beverage production location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and help to identify and report security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate clearly with teams and visitors, and complete detailed reports to support smooth operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with visitor, contractor, and vendor entry procedures in accordance with site policies.
  • Support receiving and shipping operations by observing trailer and truck movements, reporting irregular activity, and completing required gate logs and documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and security-related events, and notify site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Operate communication equipment and site systems as assigned, including radios, telephones, and alarm panels, and report malfunctions or unusual readings.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, including times, locations, actions taken, and persons involved.
  • Perform security-related inspections of doors, docks, fencing, and other controlled areas, and report unsecured openings, damaged barriers, or suspicious conditions.
  • Assist with key control, badge control, and temporary credential processes as assigned, following site procedures for issuance and return.
  • Maintain a professional presence and follow hygiene and PPE requirements specific to food and beverage locations while performing post duties and interacting with personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Have a college degree.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Have 5+ years of security-related experience.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
