You will remain visible, conduct routine rounds as needed, and respond to incidents while partnering with site teams to help reduce security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, identification requirements, and visitor management protocols.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery logs using written and/or electronic systems in accordance with post orders and client policies.
  • Conduct package and property screening as directed by site procedures, and refer prohibited items, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to the appropriate supervisor and/or site contacts.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and report irregularities, malfunctions, and/or unusual activity through established communication channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, medical response support, and emergency notifications as instructed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, building entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Write clear, timely incident reports, shift logs, and daily activity reports that document security-related events, access control actions, and follow-up items.
  • Assist with crowd and queue management during peak arrival and departure periods, public meetings, and/or special events to support orderly access to government facilities.
  • Coordinate with Allied Universal supervision, client representatives, and local public sector partners as needed to address security-related concerns and/or operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Must be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Have 5+ years of security-related experience.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
