You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, support access points, and help identify and report security-related concerns while remaining visible on site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse, yard, dock areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at gates and/or entrances by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing drivers, employees, and visitors according to site procedures.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound truck traffic, trailer and container areas, and loading dock activity; document irregular conditions and report them per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and request assistance when needed.
  • Complete routine foot and/or vehicle patrol checks, including checking doors, dock bays, fencing, lighting, and restricted areas; report maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
  • Operate security-related systems and equipment as assigned, such as radios, access control, cameras, and alarm panels; communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Write clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident reports, including times, locations, actions taken, and individuals involved.
  • Support emergency and weather-related procedures as directed, including helping with traffic control, area notifications, and scene preservation for responding authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
