Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Rover Patrol Driver in Bartlett, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with respectful customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, and you may respond across the property as needs arise. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
  • Control access at designated entrances by screening visitors, confirming authorization, and directing individuals to the appropriate departments and waiting areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical emergencies, missing persons reports, and disruptive behavior.
  • Support clinical and administrative teams with de-escalation and presence when requested, while maintaining a professional, service-focused approach.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems when assigned, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in written reports and logs using Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.
  • Provide escorts for staff, patients, and visitors when requested, including to vehicles and between buildings.
  • Assist with securing restricted areas, stairwells, and sensitive locations by following post orders and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
  • Coordinate with nursing units, reception areas, and facility personnel during emergency response activities such as evacuations, lockdowns, and severe weather procedures, as directed by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This position is in a hospital environment where vaccines are required.
  • This position is in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Be able to restrain individuals.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
