As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier automotive location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong presence and clear communication. You will monitor assigned areas, respond to concerns, document activity, and deliver customer-focused service to staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to associates, vendors, contractors and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including vehicle-related concerns, alarms, disputes and/or medical situations, and promptly notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the property, including showrooms, service areas, offices, parking lots, loading areas and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entrances, gates and/or designated access points, verifying credentials as required and directing visitors to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized persons, unusual vehicle movement and/or after-hours activity, then take appropriate action per post orders.
  • Monitor and operate security-related systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, access control and/or radios, and report system issues according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol activities, inspections and/or policy violations, maintaining accurate documentation for Allied Universal and site management.
  • Perform checks of doors, gates, dock areas, interior spaces and exterior lighting conditions, reporting irregularities and/or maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
  • Provide traffic and parking assistance as directed, helping to maintain orderly flow for customers, deliveries and/or employee vehicles during peak business periods.
  • Support emergency and/or evacuation procedures when directed, including coordinating with responding personnel and providing clear directions to occupants and/or arriving responders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
