As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Milwaukee, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location, where you will manage access control, support badge checks, and monitor entry points to help reduce security-related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and complete routine patrols and reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
- Control entry and exit at designated gates, lobbies, and/or guard shacks by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
- Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers for authorized access, and direct them to appropriate check-in points and/or departments per site procedures.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving to confirm appointments, review bills of lading and/or delivery paperwork as required, and route trucks to assigned docks or staging areas.
- Conduct vehicle and/or pedestrian inspections as directed by site procedures, reporting discrepancies and/or policy violations to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
- Monitor alarms, access control systems, radios, and/or CCTV when assigned, and document and report unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete detailed written reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate pass-down information to the next shift.
- Support emergency and non-emergency response activities such as evacuations, severe weather procedures, and medical response notifications per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by location and shift.
- Help to maintain a professional presence at entry points and in public areas, assisting with directions, badge troubleshooting, and general questions while following established procedures.
- Work collaboratively with site management, employees, and other Allied Universal personnel to help address access control concerns and support day-to-day operations.
Minimum Requirements: - Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
