As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage production location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay visible, and monitor assigned areas for unusual activity. You will support access control, assist with incident reporting, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel while delivering a strong customer service mindset. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a food and beverage production and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, unusual activity, and requests for assistance from site personnel.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking lots, dock areas, perimeter lines, and common access points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or tailgating, verify identification and/or access credentials as directed by post orders, and direct visitors and vendors to the appropriate check-in process.
- Perform patrol and post checks to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or product tampering, and report observed hazards, unsecured doors, or suspicious conditions to site contacts.
- Observe and report irregularities such as spilled materials, blocked egress routes, and/or equipment left unsecured, and notify site personnel for follow-up according to site procedures.
- Complete reports and logs in a timely manner, including incident reports, daily activity reports, and key control or access documentation as required.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarm panels when assigned, and communicate observations via radio, phone, and/or email.
- Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, severe weather response, and medical calls by assisting with notifications, directing people to designated areas, and coordinating with responding personnel.
- Maintain a professional presence while interacting with employees, contractors, and drivers, de-escalating situations when possible and requesting additional assistance when needed.
- Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow during shift changes and/or delivery activity, following site directions for staging, routing, and parking.
- Participate in briefings, follow post orders, and coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and site management to address security-related concerns and/or changing conditions.
Minimum Requirements: - Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be able to lift more than 20 lbs, preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
