As a Security Officer Aero-DefensePatrol Driver Security Clearance in Roy, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. This is a driving post, so you will use a company-approved vehicle to cover larger areas and respond to calls for service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and unauthorized activity, and notify appropriate contacts as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production and lab areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access at designated entry points by monitoring credentials, checking visitor authorization, verifying deliveries, and directing visitors according to site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other systems as assigned, and document observations and conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Complete routine reports, patrol logs, incident reports, and/or access logs with accurate, timely information according to site requirements.
  • Support security-related procedures for restricted areas, including checking that doors, gates, and sensitive areas are secured and reporting maintenance or policy issues through the proper channels.
  • Coordinate with location management, Allied Universal leadership, and local emergency responders when required, following established notification and escalation procedures.
  • Provide guidance to personnel and visitors regarding site rules, prohibited items, and restricted areas, and report noncompliance through the proper channels.
  • Assist with traffic and parking control during shift changes, deliveries, and special activities to maintain orderly movement on site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security experience is required.
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
