As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Driver in Big Island, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy manufacturing location, where you will complete routine patrols, remain highly visible, and support a positive visitor and employee experience through clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an unarmed patrol post at an industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to identify and report suspicious activity, unsecured doors, and/or unusual conditions.
• Control access by verifying identification, directing visitors and contractors, monitoring entry and exit points, and documenting deliveries and/or vehicle traffic in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with on-site contacts, and/or requesting public emergency services when needed.
• Complete detailed security-related reports and log entries, operate radios and/or other communications tools, and communicate observations and incident information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
