Operations Support Lineman

OTP is seeking a full-time Operations Support Lineman, Journeyman Lineman or Well-Qualified Apprentice Lineman to be located in Fergus Falls, MN on our Fergus Falls Aerial Basket Crew.

Line Workers’ days vary, as a member of Operations Support this position has requirements for performing all general line work duties associated with the entirety of the transmission and distribution systems. Main duties are transmission live line work, glove and sleeve work, hot stick work, stringing, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting and retirement. To include operation and transport of all applicable tools, materials, and vehicles required to perform the work assigned, such as and not limited to operation and transport of the buckets, diggers, stringing equipment, large tired, tracked, or amphibious vehicles and company related material as needed.

We’re seeking candidates who have a diploma from an accredited line worker program and a valid, unrestricted interstate commercial driver's license.  Must have a thorough knowledge of electric line construction, maintenance and repair.  Must be able to be Barehand and Class 4 certified.  Must be able to work outdoors in any weather, able to climb, and capable of getting along well with others.  Must be at least a Step 5 Apprentice Lineman.

The expected base compensation for this role is $92,000 - $115,00 USD annually.  Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
