Job Description




As a Security Guard - Medical Center Patrol in Fishersville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients in a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter, including parking areas and entrances, while observing for unusual activity and reporting concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting staff and visitors with incident reporting and directions to appropriate resources.
  • Control access by monitoring doors, hallways, and restricted areas, and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying identification and/or visitor purpose when required by site policy.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and daily events in written logs and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
  • Hold a CPR certification preferred.
  • Hold a pepper spray certification preferred.
  • Hold a guard card and/or license preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
