Security Officer - Unarmed Full Time

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Rover in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor guidance. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, badge and credential expectations, and access protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the location, including interior spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other building systems when assigned, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, scene awareness, and timely notifications.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
