You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm communication and strong customer service. Working with a caring team that values integrity, agility, reliability, and innovation, you will document activity, assist staff and visitors, and contribute to smooth day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and program participants at a government human services location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, public service areas, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, vandalism, and other security-related concerns.
• Control access by monitoring entrances and exits, checking identification and/or visitor authorization as directed, and maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services, and documenting actions taken.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and assist with security-related customer requests as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
