As a Security Officer - Aero Front Lobby in Stratford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at an aero and defense location in a front desk post where you will welcome employees and visitors, support access control and badge verification, and manage check-in and check-out procedures. You will monitor entry activity, document incidents and/or requests, and communicate promptly with site contacts to help reduce security-related issues. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk post, greet and screen visitors, and direct authorized personnel to the appropriate contact or location.
• Support access control at entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, and coordinating with site contacts for approvals.
• Issue temporary visitor credentials and/or passes per site procedures, maintain visitor logs, and collect and secure returned badges.
• Answer phones and monitor intercoms and/or entry notifications, routing calls and requests to the proper department or point of contact.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other site systems as assigned, and report unusual activity per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident reports, documenting observations, contacts, and corrective actions.
• Maintain a professional lobby presence, assist with directions and general inquiries, and help maintain orderly traffic flow at the reception area.
• Coordinate with site leadership and Allied Universal management regarding policy updates, special events, and changes to access procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
