Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Employee Engagement leads the design, planning, and strategy for employee engagement, volunteering, and donations across all GuideWell Enterprise business subsidiaries. This role supports the enterprise's corporate social responsibility efforts by fostering a culture of employee engagement, community involvement and teamwork among employees, that reflects the company's values and mission and unites GuideWell employees.

Essential Functions:
Lead the design, plan and strategy for employee engagement, volunteering and donations for GuideWell Enterprise (all business subsidiaries) in support of the company's mission and CSR strategy for the approximately 18,000 GuideWell associates across the country and Puerto Rico.
Lead coordination of engagement strategies across each business unit, working with leadership to implement Enterprise strategy and programs
Lead the planning, implementation and activation of community engagement initiatives to support the Foundation and Enterprise strategy, working with community leaders to identify unmet needs, co-develop solutions and craft programs that create the desired impact
Develop, manage and evaluate strategic employee volunteer engagement plan to engage the Enterprise workforce and increase organizational effectiveness
Manage the GuideWell Gives employee volunteer program and oversee execution of all aspects of planning in collaboration with key geographical markets including communication, internal resource coordination and reporting.

Maintain and manage the GuideWell Gives volunteer portal including administration, user support, reporting and analytics, and ensuring seamless integrations with GuideWell's volunteer program goals and objectives.
Strengthen connections with the local nonprofit community.

Consult and coordinate with the GuideWell Community organizations to advise and support their community relations efforts
Raise awareness around GuideWell's involvement in the community through coordination with Enterprise Communications; Communicate impact of community volunteerism and coordinate with Enterprise Communications

Work with the CEO and senior leadership in the coordination and implementation of events where they are heavily involved. Provide event and administrative support when executives lead external community engagement and outreach efforts

Work with GuideWell leaders and ambassadors, from all business areas and companies, to coordinate, plan, promote, and reconcile the annual GuideWell employee giving campaign, volunteer efforts, and other employee engagement initiatives.
Develop and implement community engagement/board training for GuideWell leaders and teams
Develop and lead new Enterprise-wide skills-based volunteer programs like pro-bono or skills-based volunteer initiatives

Manage the Lift by GuideWell program including the application process, promotion and awareness of program, fundraising and managing inquiries from employees.

Lead the strategy, development and execution of internal and/or external special events and statewide corporate initiatives (HeartWalk, food drives, blood drives, etc.)

Manage team of employee volunteers/engagement council and/or contractors/consultants as assigned. Determine best approach to coordinate Employee Engagement program and local community engagement initiatives
Serve as a member of the Florida Blue Foundation; Report to CSR/Foundation Lead, while maintaining a strong relationship with Local Presence teams to collaborate on the development and execution of the regional enterprise strategy

Oversee other employee engagement efforts including:

  • Impact reporting for scorecard
  • Oversees Volunteer T-shirt inventory
  • Coordinates disaster response volunteer efforts

Required Qualifications:

6+ years related work experience.
Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
Demonstrated program management and coordination experience.
Demonstrated experience maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
Experience working with external agencies and non-profit organizations.
Experience working with all levels of management and employees.
Excellent interpersonal skills for use when working with consumer and business decision makers and with interactions at events and/or display booths.
Experience in demonstrating good judgment and effective work in a team environment.
Willingness to travel statewide on a limited basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree Graduate degree in Non-Profit management, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
Working knowledge of SharePoint and website communications.

Retail and marketing promotions experience.

Experience working in non-profit or community relations field. Experience working with volunteer management platforms.

General Physical Demands:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Physical/Environmental Activities:
Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Occasionally

Annualized Salary Range: $92,100 - $149,600

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $92,100 - $115,100

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
