The Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) Lead- BIW working directly for the SIS Lead for Body; will drive best in class execution of the body processes and business metrics as defined by SIS KPIs. Primary focus will be to improve transformation cost and quality performance through projects based on internal and external benchmarking, innovation, cross projects and read-across of best practices. They need to challenge the status quo, while supporting the plants in closing their performance gaps to the best shop in Stellantis.

Activities and responsibilities include but not limited to:



  • Support the creation and execution of the Want to Be (WTB) vision, Master Plan and Annual Budget targets
  • Support plants in the defining and executing of capital and launch projects, being the voice of the plant
  • Communicate determined targets, support and apply working knowledge of Body in White to create and relate best practice and cross projects
  • Drive continuous improvement of body aligned to the performance goals/ KPI's
  • Boost shop/plant performance through innovation with coordination of VPE organization and consistency with excellent plant
  • Communicate the best in class plant and shop (layouts, investment, organization, performance, sustainment)
  • Study manufacturing processes and related outputs
  • Support benchmarking of internal and external best in class for application and validation of specific processes and outputs
  • Strong technical mindset with ability to identify and deploy solutions that improve KPIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge plant assumptions with data and technical understanding.
  • Provide handson shop floor support to validate correct implementation of process standards, equipment fundamentals, and daily SPW management routines across plants in North America
  • Work closely with Quality, Safety, Maintenance and Loss Deployment teams to identify and prioritize critical BIW issues and ensure coordinated execution of improvement actions

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodology and implementation or continuous improvement systems
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
  • Ability to travel within North America to support NA Region: US/CAN/MEX
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as required
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to coach / mentor / develop team members
  • Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead team
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Previous experience working in a union environment
  • Production/Quality/Industrial Engineering supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
