Summary Reporting to TEN's Vice President, Engineering and Performance, the Senior Energy (Project) Engineer is responsible for leading the technical delivery of energy projects across commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. You will engineer projects from feasibility through design and into construction, participating in ensuring the solutions you have developed are commissioned for optimized performance as designed, reducing utility and operating and maintenance costs. This role ensures that the designs provided meet technical, regulatory, and quality standards while aligning with project objectives and client requirements. The Senior Energy (Project) Engineer will collaborate closely with internal development, engineering, construction, and performance teams, external design professionals (architects and engineers) and subcontractors to translate conceptual designs into executable plan documents and constructable project strategies. Location: DMV (Washington Metropolitan Area - DC, Maryland, Virginia) and will work from either a TEN office or a home-based office and will require travel to customer sites as necessary. Education and Experience Required:
Preferred Qualifications: * Professional Engineer (PE or EIT on path to PE) Certified Energy Manager (CEM); * Experience with DERs (solar, storage, CHP, microgrids), utility interconnection, and commissioning. * Working knowledge of name brand building automation systems (BAS) and measurement & verification (IPMVP) protocols. * Experience with incentive programs (utility rebates, state/energy grants) and decarbonization roadmaps.
