What this job involves:

Lead strategic occupancy excellence as a Director of Occupancy Planning & Management with JLL, where you'll play a crucial role ensuring delivery of JLL best practices through Occupancy Planning & Management products, solutions, and tools to real estate clients while serving as the leader for delivery of occupancy planning tasks and bringing best practices, industry insight, and thought leadership to accounts. You'll act as a trusted advisor to clients and account teams while fostering critical relationships between various individuals and organizations, ensuring coordination and collaboration among JLL businesses. This role positions you as a strategic leader in workplace optimization, where your expertise in team management, client advisory services, and space portfolio strategy will directly impact client satisfaction and organizational success. Your leadership will contribute to JLL's occupancy planning excellence while you manage teams, drive results through emotional intelligence and strategic thinking, and serve as Subject Matter Expert for key systems, processes, and client deliverables.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Partner with clients building sustainable structures for occupancy planning and relocation project management based on industry best practices while acting as trusted advisor bringing thought leadership and strategic insight
  • Manage occupancy planning and relocation project management teams ensuring alignment with client occupancy planning organizations and goals while training, mentoring, and cultivating diverse skill sets and talents
  • Partner with account teams ensuring alignment of holistic account goals and proper integration for One JLL culture while cultivating collaborations with Facilities Management, Project Management, and local stakeholders
  • Achieve or exceed all Occupancy Planning/Relocation Project Management performance metrics while creating accurate planning reports supporting Corporate Real Estate decision-making including space, demand, and utilization tracking
  • Take accountability for implementing process improvements optimizing service delivery while partnering with Technology Subject Matter Experts enhancing deliverables through technology enablement
  • Collaborate with Space Data Insights Team ensuring meticulous accuracy in occupancy data while adhering to established data quality key performance indicators and managing space portfolios
  • Plan and manage portfolios maximizing space efficiency while assisting clients in migration plans, group and individual moves, reviewing project status reports on actual versus projected demand, and forecasting inventory changes
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field required with 7-15 years of experience in corporate environment including space/occupancy planning and data management at strategic level
  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with excellent active listening abilities, presentation skills to promote ideas persuasively, and capability to establish strong relationships across all organizational levels
  • Strong bias towards transformation and execution with structured approach to problem solving, natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics, and commercially/financially astute mindset
  • Ability to effectively oversee management of Occupancy Planning and Relocation Project Management teams comprising individuals with diverse skill sets while knowing how to structure, staff, and manage projects effectively
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, vlookup, cell calculations, understanding of floorplans, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with ability to consolidate data into PowerPoint presentations
  • High perseverance and resourcefulness with flexibility to work in ambiguous situations, resilience and tenacity with propensity to persevere, and unwavering ethical standards driving excellence
  • Ability to influence others toward common vision, inspirational leadership stimulating action with balanced control and influence, and decisiveness with willingness to take risks operating with urgency
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA preferred with advanced understanding of real estate economics, corporate finance, or strategic business management enhancing leadership capabilities and client advisory services Background leading large-scale teams, managing P&L responsibility, or supporting organizational transformation initiatives within corporate real estate or consulting environments
  • Deep understanding of occupancy planning best practices, space optimization strategies, and corporate real estate portfolio management with track record driving sustainable change Experience implementing technology solutions, leading digital transformation initiatives, or partnering with technology teams to enhance service delivery through innovative platforms
  • Proven track record managing executive-level client relationships, supporting account growth, or leading cross-functional teams in complex corporate environments
  • Professional certifications in facility management (FMP, CFM), project management (PMP), or real estate (CCIM, SIOR) with active participation in industry organizations demonstrating thought leadership
Location:

New York City, NY (Hybrid - 3-4 days in office per week)

Estimated compensation for this position:

174,000.00 - 198,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
