Position Summary

The operator is responsible for operating cryogenic deflashing and tumble equipment. There is also some press machine operations. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and ability to safely handle cryogenic materials and operate automated and manual finishing equipment. The operator will perform routine inspections, basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance while maintaining a clean and organized work station.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor cryogenic deflashing machines used to remove flash from molded rubber parts
  • Load parts and medica into the cryogenic chamber according to production specifications
  • Set machine parameters(temperature, cycle time, media flow, rotation speed)
  • Monitor liquid nitrogen levels and ensure safe handling and storage of materials
  • Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and completeness of deflashing.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic machine issues, report major problems to maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning and start up/shut down procedures.
  • Work with quality control and production leadership to optimize efficiency and reduce scrap.
  • Operate, load and unload tumbler equipment
  • Separate finished parts from media and perform staging for next step.
  • Operate rubber molding machinery.
  • Operate, load and unload ovens
  • Follow OD instruction sheet to perform standard work
  • Operate wash equipment
  • Complete daily production reports and communicate with leadership
  • Participate as a member of the high performance team.
  • Follow safety guidelines and wear proper PPE for the position
  • Perform well with others

Pushing/pulling/lifting up to 50 pounds.

Starting pay $20 with step wage progression based on performance
