Position Summary

Assumes a leadership role in territory personnel performance and development with respect to sales growth at distributor/fabricator accounts. Establish direction and strategy for both distributor/fabricator and manufacturing representative sales channel programs. Maintain relationships with all distributor/fabricator and manufacturing representative principals. Proactively works with all divisional management and related support departments to ensure on-time customer service needs are met or exceeded. Reports to Global Division Sales and Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Distributor/fabricator and Manufacturing Representative's sales goals are achieved within the region.

  • Effectively utilizes placement, motivation, training & development skills with the Territory Sales Managers to support the sales growth through authorized channels.

  • Actively calls on distributor/fabricator locations and their key accounts, Manufacturing Representative key accounts, and coaches Territory Sales Managers to develop and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Administer the development of the distributor/fabricator organizations relative to the goals outlined in Journey Assessments and their measured value to the division.

  • Develop strong relationships and influence with Business Units and across the corporation as appropriate to leverage resources to achieve business objectives.

  • Provide timely feedback to Business Units and Management on the effectiveness of distributor/fabricators and Manufacturers Representatives marketing strategies and other competitive market pressures.

  • Demonstrate the ability to research and select new distributor/fabricator and Manufacturer Representative organizations as needed.

  • Ensures Parker products and services are meeting customer satisfaction levels and resolves conflict issues effectively and efficiently. Is a practicing advocate of the Win Strategy.

  • Responsible for gathering, interpreting and disseminating market data provided by territory managers and company marketing programs. Implements strategies to recognize new revenue and margin opportunities. Strategically manages the development and implementation of appropriate responses to competition.

  • Keeps management and territory managers aware of changes which would affect the sale of Parker products.

  • Directs the development and maintenance of comprehensive technical knowledge of group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages and benefits.

  • Keeps staff developed with internal and external training and development.

  • Support key accounts as necessary

  • Drives programs to improve distribution channel and achieve objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required (technical discipline a plus).

  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience required in OEM direct sales and/or industrial / distributor product sales / marketing

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with advanced PC skills.

  • Excellent conflict resolution skills a must.

  • Must be able to travel overnight up to 50% of time throughout North and South America; or as required.

  • Proper product and system certification preferred.

  • Must demonstrate ability to motivate and sustain sales growth in the region.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $120500 to $210950 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
