ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Inspecting and Calibrating: Performing routine inspections, testing, and calibration of a wide range of measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges, and electronic testing devices, against established national standards (e.g., those set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)). Maintenance and Repair: Performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on malfunctioning equipment or coordinating external repair services when necessary. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all calibration, maintenance, and repair activities using calibration management software (GAGE Trak) to ensure traceability and compliance for audits. Troubleshooting: Identifying out-of-tolerance conditions and performing root cause analysis to correct discrepancies. Support and Training: Assisting quality and engineering departments in selecting appropriate new measuring equipment and training production personnel on the proper use and handling of gauges and measuring tools. Compliance: Ensuring all processes and documentation comply with relevant quality and safety standards and participating in internal and external audits. QUALIFICATIONS Three years related experience in a quality assurance, inspection, or similar role involving the use and maintenance of measuring equipment is often required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues systematically. Clear written and verbal skills to write reports and ability to train others. Proficiency with basic computer programs (Word, Excel) and specialized calibration management software. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
