Job Summary:

The Manager, Agile Product Delivery is a strategic leader responsible for elevating the Scrum Master discipline and enabling product teams to deliver highvalue outcomes within NRG's Product Operating Model. This role leads fulltime and contractor Scrum Masters, drives operational excellence, and partners with senior stakeholders to enhance delivery predictability, team maturity, and crossfunctional alignment. The Manager identifies systemic challenges, executes strategic initiatives that scale agile practices, and informs longterm capability development. Operating with high autonomy, this role strengthens coaching culture, advances organizational agility, and promotes continuous improvement by optimizing flow, improving quality, and fostering customercentric delivery practices that support NRG Consumer Home Energy's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate has experience in product delivery and scaled agile practices at an enterprise level.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design, lead, and execute strategic initiatives that advance agile excellence, maturity, and organizational scale.
  • Translate organizational goals into delivery strategies, frameworks, and repeatable practices that support 10+ product teams.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the Senior Manager, offering insights and recommendations that shape Agile Product Delivery's long term direction.
  • Identify systemic challenges and lead cross team or cross domain interventions to improve predictability, quality, and flow.
  • Lead and coach Senior Scrum Masters and delivery partners to ensure high performance, capability growth, and role clarity.
  • Oversee onboarding and engagement of contractor Scrum Masters in partnership with contingent workforce teams.
  • Partner with Product Delivery leaders to define, reinforce, and mature agile practices across product teams.
  • Drive improvements in facilitation quality, team health, team dynamics, and agile behaviors through targeted coaching.
  • Analyze delivery, team health, and capability data to inform coaching strategies and improvement actions.
  • Address insights from governance activities, standards audits, and tooling data to strengthen operational excellence.
  • Build strong partnerships with business and technology leaders to optimize delivery flow, accelerate value delivery, and strengthen agile leadership behaviors across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement across teams.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and support scaled agile practices to improve cross team effectiveness and delivery efficiency.

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment/Hybrid
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise
  • Minimal travel

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in agile delivery roles with advanced framework knowledge.
  • 3+ years in a people management role with direct accountability for performance, development, and engagement.
  • Advanced knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and scaled delivery practices.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex initiatives in a product-centric environment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder partnership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced agile certifications (e.g. PSM II, PSM III, A-CSM, CSP-SM, KSD, KSI, KPM), or equivalent advanced agile certification.
  • Experience implementing and scaling agile practices in large organizations.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, or similar agile management platforms.
  • Background in product operating model frameworks and organizational transformation.

  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to connect day-to-day delivery operations to long-term organizational strategy.
  • Ability to operate with high autonomy, anticipate organizational needs, and proactively design and implement improvements.
  • Strong leadership and coaching capabilities with a focus on servant leadership.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across organizational boundaries.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using metrics to inform decisions and improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to navigate crucial conversations that enable transparency, accountability, and constructive resolution of challenges.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.
  • May require sitting for extended periods of time.
