The Shipping Team Lead is responsible to lead a team and manage day-to-day responsibilities for order fulfillment. Efficiently picking, staging, and shipping domestic/international orders, while reducing shipping errors.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of shipping and picking experience
  • Oracle EBS / WMS / Synapse / Rf Scanner experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to Lead a team
  • Skilled in shipping software/systems, inventory management systems, and hand-held scanners
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills
  • Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trend and patterns in productivity data
  • Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including overtime and weekends

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides direction and support to shipping staff
  • Along with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, holds the team accountable for shipping errors and performance
  • Manage the outbound logistics operations, such as transportation, warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management
  • Proactively maintains and updates SQDIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity) boards up to date for maintaining operational excellence
  • Adheres to established inventory control systems and computer tracking
  • Assists the team in picking orders for shipment as needed
  • Performs final inspection of orders
  • Sorts and palletizes finished product for shipment as needed
  • Strives to reduce all shipping errors to zero
  • Ensure that attainment schedule and OTD is executed
  • Upholds 6S standards for the department and holds the team accountable
  • Continues to make great strides professionally for the team towards the daily schedule attainment and OTD/OTIF
  • Completes and maintains a variety of measurements, reports, records, and documentation for management
  • Strives to improve departmental efficiencies and reduce cost through continuous improvement
  • Fosters goodwill with internal customers
  • Works overtime as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $26.50 - $26.50per hour

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
