Patient Registrar - Full-Time (Top Orthopedic Group in Connecticut) Location: Greater Hartford Area, CT Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week (Early shifts as early as 7:00 a.m.) Setting: Fast-Paced Orthopedic & Urgent Care Clinic Experience: Intermediate Level - EMR/Epic Required About the Opportunity Join one of Connecticut's leading orthopedic groups as a Patient Registrar, supporting patients during some of their most important healthcare moments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, excels in patient service, and is confident navigating Epic and other medical office workflows. You'll be the welcoming face of the practice-helping patients check in, verify insurance, collect payments, and ensure a smooth visit from start to finish. What You'll Do * Warmly greet and check in patients as they arrive * Collect co-pays, outstanding balances, and required forms * Verify insurance eligibility, referrals, and authorizations * Update and maintain accurate patient demographics in the EMR * Support patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care environment * Navigate Epic to document patient intake and appointment details * Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families * Float between various office locations within the Hartford area as needed * Start early shifts (as early as 7:00 a.m.) depending on clinic and provider needs What We're Looking For * Epic / EMR experience required * Strong background* in:* * Patient registration * Insurance verification * Check-in / check-out * Medical scheduling and patient intake * Front desk or patient-facing healthcare roles * Ability to handle high patient volume with professionalism and accuracy * Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and reliability * Flexibility to work early hours and support multiple office locations Top Skills EMR Epic * Patient Access * Patient Registration * Insurance Verification * Medical Scheduling * Patient Intake * Customer Service* Ideal Candidate Profile * Experienced in a medical office, urgent care, or hospital registration setting * Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with a steady flow of patients * Confident using technology and multitasking across systems * Enjoys helping patients and being part of a collaborative clinical team Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmington, CT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
