Description Charleston County School District (CCSD) is a nationally accredited school district committed to providing equitable and quality educational opportunities for all of its students. Charleston County School District is hiring a cable technician on a long-term contract basis (opportunity to convert perm. as FTE headcount opens up) to support the multiple schools across the district. This person will need to drive their own vehicle (mileage reimbursed standard IRS rate $0.725/mile) between their assigned schools--eventually they may be given a company van to drive based on availability. They will be working on a variety of projects within the district to assist with maintaining and enhancing current technology. This person will have the opportunity to be trained up on/enhance their current skills working on preventative maintenance on cameras and access control systems, troubleshooting/installation of cameras and access control, and any light networking that might need to be completed. They are looking for someone who comes with some cabling knowledge/experience, who is eager to get their foot in the door with a solid company--someone who is excited to learn and can take direction well. If this person comes with more experience, they can hit the ground running even sooner! Day to day will be going around to schools fulfilling tickets that revolve around A/V issues, Marquee issues, cabling needs etc. Eventually they will be training on how to troubleshoot Access Control.
