Service Technician - TEKsystems Overview The Service Technician performs routine and emergency service calls, troubleshoots system issues, completes repairs, and delivers highquality customer support. This role works independently and may assist in training junior technicians. Responsibilities * Perform routine and emergency service calls. * Troubleshoot, repair, and replace malfunctioning security equipment. * Test systems and verify signals. * Provide customer training on system use. * Maintain truck inventory, tools, and equipment. * Document service work and submit required reports. * Support and coach less-experienced technicians. * Complete additional assigned tasks. Skills CCTV * Access Control * Security Systems * Alarm Systems * Installation * Service * Technical Support Qualifications * High School Diploma or vocational training. * 3+ years of related service technician experience. * Strong troubleshooting skills with intrusion, fire, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems. * Knowledge of local/national codes. * Proficient with test equipment (multimeters, battery analyzers, decibel meters). * Valid driver's license; able to pass drug screening. * Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Physical Requirements * Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs. * Work in tight or elevated spaces (ladders, scaffolding, attics, above ceilings). * Full-time flexible schedule with on-call availability and short-notice travel. * Ability to drive for extended periods.
