As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering outstanding service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a government location, and assisting with directions, questions, and general support.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas to identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and maintenance concerns, and help to deter prohibited behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities as appropriate and requesting assistance from onsite personnel and/or local emergency services when needed.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, manage visitor entry processes, and document access activity in accordance with post orders.
  • Complete accurate reports and logs regarding patrols, incidents, and interactions, and communicate observations and follow-up needs to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
