As a Security Officer - X-Ray Screener in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support smooth site operations by observing activity, following established screening procedures, and communicating clearly with team members and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors at designated entry points using approved methods such as credential verification, bag inspections, and screening equipment, as directed by post orders, to help to deter prohibited items from entering the facility.
• Monitor access control points, gates, and/or dock areas, verify identification and shipping or delivery documentation as required, and maintain accurate screening and access logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting observations, and coordinating with site management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior work areas, exterior perimeter, and parking or staging areas, noting irregular conditions and reporting maintenance, hazards, and/or policy violations through the appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
