Job Description




As a Security Officer - Security Screener in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will greet patients, visitors, and staff while helping manage entry points and support a welcoming environment. You will watch for unusual activity, conduct screening and access checks, and communicate concerns to the care team and site leadership. This role blends customer service with security-related awareness, backed by an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Screen and direct visitors at designated entry points by verifying access requirements, observing for prohibited items, and following site procedures for visitor management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns to clinical staff and/or site leadership as needed.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, maintain required logs and documentation, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas around entrances, waiting areas, and the perimeter as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
