Security Officer - Day Shift

As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In in Whitestown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location as an Access Control Officer, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet shoppers and staff, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, monitor activity, and document security-related incidents using computer and/or tablet tools. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at designated entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor and delivery logs, and directing guests and vendors to approved check-in points.
• Monitor entry points and nearby activity for policy violations and suspicious behavior to help to deter theft and/or unauthorized entry, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or law enforcement as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, documenting events, and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, and perimeter, checking doors, corridors, and service areas, and reporting maintenance hazards and/or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
